Soap Crimes!!!

I watch most soaps and what gets me most is that if a caracter commits a crime they almost always get sent to jail, (Lisa Dingle for example). yet where i live, there are little thugs who hang about street corners drinking, and almost certainly taking drugs, picking fights and attacking people out of sheer badness. when they get caught , they go to court and get a commuinity service order or a pittance of a fine. then they go back to attacking people etc. Why can't our court systems be like the soaps and jail these little retrobates? even better, bring back national service, that would certainly teach them how to respect and live in the rest of society. What do you think? xx

Because Nelly, we live in a society of bloody do gooders, the inmates are now running the asylum, what these clowns fail to realise is children needs dicipline and boundries, there is nothing wrong with getting a sore backside or a clip round the ear ( did me no harm ) but noooooooooooooooo, now they can do as they please with no consequences, or maybe a wee holiday to let them think about the way they have behaved!!!! Personally, if I did wrong, it was a slapped ass and confined to my room till I was called for, and woe betide me if I spoke back.
Kids are being kids, if they can get away with it they will, and why not??? who's going to do anything about it? Its the stupid adults that passed these rules that should be looking in the mirror for the trouble we now have with them, bring back adult authority, bring back the school belt, and yes, if they want to leave school at 16 fine, be working within a month or its national service no questions asked.

laugh laugh laugh Exactly cat!, my parents weren't strict, but we were brought up to know right from wrong and like you if we needed a slap on the backside we got one, we were brought up to respect our elders , i remember my brother telling my mum one of the neighbours told him off for whatever, and my mum slapped him , she said if the neighbour told him off it was for a reason and the slap was for needing the telling off in the first placelaugh i would NEVER have spoke back to anyone least of all my mum or dad and if you were told to do something you didn't argue you just did it, or else! it's true what you say the people who made up these rules have not got a clue, !!!laugh laugh
