have just been reading through help and rules and nowhere does it say anything about having to send any form of i.d.to claim prizes.many people will be reluctant to send anything because of i.d. fraud.it does happen.i claimed my choccies a few months ago no problem.also i'm not aware of any other site that does this

Failure to provide substantiated proof of age or other requested information will result in the suspension of your account. Any monies due or requested during this time will be withheld unless the requested information is provided.
Most online bingo sites do ask for identification.

I used to play on another site and I had to provide ID before I could claim any prize. Won't say the name of the site as I don't think that is appropriate but I will add it is not in anyway connected to Woohoo.

most bingo site i have played have been ones yu deposit into and they ask for bank card details so you can deposit and they do checks that way

I would just like to make it clear that we don't require bank details or anything like that.
What we ask for is a copy of passport or photo driving license. Bare in mind that you can block out the numbers on these as some players have done when they have been asked for identification.
We also ask for a copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement. We only need to see your name and address, and also the part showing where the letter is from, eg, the company logo.
What is ask for is less than paysites do and is done to protect all members.
It is stated in the Terms and Conditions regarding identification, with all members agreeing to our Terms and Conditions upon sign-up.

also when other sites do ask for info its done through a secure site not email.

Regarding databases for sale - we have no involvement with this, and don't intend to.
A lot of sites ask for identification to be sent via email, with the player having the choice if they wish to send these documents or not.
