FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE?
Dear Skintmum - alias Tracy. I have written a poem for you, and hope you find
nothing offensive in it? Thank you for the challenge.

Gordon, when I married you on the 8th August, in the year 2008
I felt so very lucky, you was, without a doubt, my perfect soulmate
When I said those special words "I do" and I became your bride
I felt all the emotions sweep over me, as I stood by your side
and then i said the vows - through sickness and in health - till death us do part?
I meant every word single word, because on that day you really stole my heart
So now Gordon, you're probably asking yourself "why are you writing this
poem to me?"
Well, my dear, you never told me you snored? and that's the problem you see!
I've tried everything, without success, you are driving me round the twist
and if I thought i would cure you, I'd even send you to a hypnotherapist
Gordon, you know I love you very much, and you mean the world to me
but I honestly have to admit, your snoring is driving me absolutely crazy!
When you hit the highest decibel,even the light bulbs explode
and I think to myself "Oh God! Im in for another episode
Every night I pace the floor, unable to sleep, cos' you just keep me awake
As soon as you enter noddy land, you snore - morning, noon and even at daybreak
When i settle down each night to watch a bit of t.v.
Off you flaming well go again! And I swear if this continues, i will commit hiri kiri!
You smoke, have high blood pressure and are a little overweight
I wonder if these are causing the problems, and thats why you vibrate?
Your snoring is getting louder and louder and you're reaching the rictor scale
I swear I will do something drastic, and it will cost you a fortune to get
me released from jail
I nudge you, prod and poke, turn you on your side, and even have to shout
Youre turning me into a nervous wreck, and I can't see anyway out
Gordon, its got so bad, you sleep in the marital bed, while I end up downstairs
I know you have no idea of how bad you sound, you are completely unaware
But you know what Gordon? I am thinking back to our wonderful wedding day
And to be quite honest, sweetheart, I wouldnt want you any other way
Youre generous, kind, loyal and loving, a girl couldnt ask for more
I'm absolutely head over heels in love with you, you simply fill me with awe
Every single moment we're together, you simply complete my life
I'm so very happy to tell you darling, I am so proud to have become your wife.

P.S. Don't worry about telling me what you want for Christmas? I've heard
sewing a tennis ball to the back of your pyjama jacket will stop you from
rolling over!!!! A cheap pressie too, but remember, its the thought that
counts!!!
