CM's In Chat

Hi everyone,

I'd just like to explain a few things behind the recent changes to CM text and CM Names.

Our decision to allow CM's to use caps was based on a few reasons which I will explain. We are limited in what we can change within the chat room at the moment, for example we cannot make CM's text a different colour to players and we cannot change the font type or font size. We will be looking into ways to add more features like this to the chat room in the future, but at present it is not possible.

This only leaves a few possible options to help CM's be more visible in the chat room so players do not miss what the cm types.

Since many online bingo sites allow their CM's to use capital letters in the chat room we thought this would be a good place to start in attempting to make CM's chat more visible. However, we do appreciate and take on board that typing in capital letters may seem like shouting and intimidating, but please remember this was only done to make CM's chat easier to read so that players can enjoy the chatroom and chat games without missing what the cm has typed.

After reading the forum posts I am disappointed with some members who have taken this as an opportunity to be abusive to the CM's.

As a more elegant solution to this problem, instead of CM's typing all their chat in uppercase, we have decided to make CM's names uppercase. This should make it easier to spot their name in the chatroom and hopefully should make it easier to read their chatroom text.

Any members who continue to use this issue as an excuse to abuse CM's on the forum will have their forum privilages removed and could result in a ban.
