BREAD & BUTTER PUDDING AS REQUESTED

Bread & Butter Pudding

4ozs thinly sliced bread & butter
Three quarters pint milk
2 eggs
3 level tablespoons caster sugar
1 oz currants
2 ozs sultanas
half oz candied peel
sprinkling of nutmeg.
Heatproof dish which holds 1 and half pints

Cut bread & butter into squares, layer into the greased dish with dried fruit and sugar, but keep sprinkling of each for top.
Beat eggs, add milk and pour over bread and fruit.
Sprinkle top with remaining sugar, fruit & nutmeg.
Bake for about 40 mins.
